 Digital Learning Framework

In 2015, the Department of Education and Skills launched a new Digital Strategy for Schools. This was followed by the Digital Learning Framework to guide greater integration and development of digital technology in learning and teaching in all schools. In 2017-18, Ratoath College piloted the Digital Learning Framework, with all schools coming under the framework from 2018-19. More information on the DES Digital Strategy and the Digital Learning Framework can be found below.

 iPads

All LCA and Junior Cycle students at Ratoath College have iPads.
Teachers and students have been working together to integrate the use of the iPads into their everyday practice to create a more vibrant, engaging and challenging learning environment for our 21st Century learners.
As a school our focus is on creating a learning platform between teacher, traditional classroom and student that bridges the gap between the traditional text book and the wealth of content and resources our teachers are making available to their students.
With the iPads supporting the incorporation of varied learning methodologies, we look forward to the “Learning to Learn” chapter of our Ratoath College 21st Century learning story.
